THE PROBLEM WITH MOST PROGRAMS
Today most phonics and spelling programs on the market do not teach "true" phonics.
Instead, they use a hybrid of phonics principles, whole language aspects, sight words, and other newer approaches.
The other issue is that most programs have "divorced" spelling and phonics.
Our system is based on a method from the 1940s.
We believe phonics and spelling should be taught together, integrated into one program, asthey have been for over 200+ years.

Dear Fellow Homeschooling Parent / Teacher,
Whether you’re just starting to teach your student their ABCs, helping your student take their first steps into reading, or trying to fix frustrating spelling challenges with your older student, I want you to know: you’re not alone.
I’ve been where you are—searching for something that actually works, something that makes teaching not just effective but enjoyable for you and your student.
For me, that something was Play 'n Talk.
Back in the 1980s, my mom discovered Play 'n Talk when I was struggling with severe dyslexia, ADHD, and an auditory processing delay. Teachers told her I’d never read above a sixth-grade level. But thanks to Play 'n Talk’s innovative, play-based method, I not only learned to read—I was reading and spelling at a college level by sixth grade. It unlocked a love of learning I didn’t know was possible.
When Play 'n Talk closed its doors in 2007, I knew the homeschooling world was losing a treasure. That’s why in 2020, I brought it back—because there is still nothing like it on the market today.
What makes Play 'n Talk so special?
It’s not just for struggling learners (though it works wonders for our learners with challenges). It’s designed for every child, at every stage:
Toddlers and preschoolers learn their letters and sounds through fun, engaging songs and multisensory games.
Early readers build confidence as they master phonics and decoding through lessons that feel more like playtime than school.
Older children and struggling spellers gain the tools to break free from confusion and finally write with clarity and confidence.
With its open-and-go format, Play 'n Talk simplifies your homeschooling day and works for multiple children at once, making it ideal for busy moms and teachers. And it’s all grounded in a proven multisensory approach that taps into how children naturally learn—through stimulating multiple senses.
Whether your goal is to nurture a love of learning, fix spelling frustrations, or give your child a head start in reading, Play 'n Talk can help you get there.
It helped me. It’s helped thousands of families. And I believe it can help yours, too.
Warmly,
Aimee Eucce
Owner, Play 'n Talk

The founder of Play 'n Talk was Dr. Marie LeDoux, was an amazing woman who's heart was to see every child reach their full potential!
Dr. Marie LeDoux discovered the prestigious Isabelle Buckley School in Beverly Hills, California. The school, was founded in 1933, they had taken the best aspects from every phonics program in the world, and developed their own method of teaching reading through phonics. The program was designed to teach children in a unique, systematic, and logical sequence. This enabled the students to learn and apply the concepts of phonics as opposed to memorizing certain word patterns which then inhibited the student from moving on to more complicated words and concepts.
Over the next ten years Dr. LeDoux recorded the lessons and perfected the program. The illustrations were done by a Walt Disney artist; the recordings feature the lovely distinctive voice of the teacher who taught Mark to read. Several reinforcement activities were later added, which completed the program. Thus Play ‘N Talk was born. Directed by God, the program is simplistic and playful. She believed that reading is an adventure; it should never be stressful or frustrating.
Dr. LeDoux passed away in December of 2001 at the age of 85. Her legacy of love and sharing will live on through the thousands and thousands of families who have been affected in a positive way by Play 'n Talk. The company officially closed in 2007 and remained in a holding pattern until March of 2020 when Aimee Eucce officially took over the business and re-launched it for the next generation of readers!
You might be wondering who is Aimee and what's her connection? I was one of Marie LeDoux's customers, I struggled with Dyslexia and my Homeschooling Mom found Play 'n Talk. I was told I would never read past a sixth grade level. I hated reading but thanks to Play 'n Talk I was reading and spelling at a college level by 6th grade. My mom would actually kick me outside to play because I wouldn't stop reading my favorite mystery/adventure series.
Through the years Marie became like a Grandmother to me, I would help type orders up and put pieces and parts of the program together when I was in High School. After Dr. LeDoux's death in 2001 I actually worked for her son Mark LeDoux helping to keep Play 'n Talk running while I attended college. I gained experience fulfilling orders, counseling with Mom's and Dad's and selling Play 'n Talk. I have always had a heart for Play 'n Talk because I know what it did for me and I saw the success stories from thousands of families first hand! I did not want to see Dr. LeDoux's legacy die so I worked out an arrangement with the LeDoux family and I have officially taken over the company and re-launched Play 'n Talk for the next generation of readers! You will see me teaching my son to read in our Facebook Group Here
