We have been producing excellent readers and spellers for 59 years. 

Most 4 and 5-year-olds will read at a 5th grade level after 1 year of using Play 'n Talk.

PLAY 'N TALK'S FAMOUS ROOTS 
Play 'n Talk has a rich history, Harpo Marx's son created the music, and a Disney artist created all of the illustrations. The original phonics method comes from the exclusive Isabelle Buckley School in Southern California. Founded in 1933 this school is still one of our Nation's top prep-schools. Play 'n Talk had an ABC TV show in the 60's. Our founder Dr. Marie LeDoux, spoke on TV shows, radio show's and conferences across the nation. SING 'N SOUND
Sing 'n Sound is the first 10 lessons of Play 'n Talk put to song. You will use the 26 sturdy, alphabet flashcards. (Large 6 inch square) During Sing 'n Sound. Your child will learn the phonetic alphabet in Sing 'n Sound.

One of the greatest values of Sing 'n Sound is that the music sets the stage for learning. It is documented that music serves as a bridge to learning that crosses over inhibitions and other "mental roadblocks" that interfere with speech and learning.
WALL & MANUSCRIPT CHARTS
The Giant Phonics Wall Chart (19' x 25'): is a great visual reinforcement tool. As you cover each letter and sound in Sing 'n Sound have your child color each letter before you move to the next letter. 

The Manuscript Alphabet Chart (7' x 25'): is an easy to follow guide for mastering the alphabet. The instructor's manual will tell you when your child is ready developmentally to add this component.  Once your child is ready, the bright bold letters, and directional arrows will help them to begin to write.
SERIES 1-4 STUDENT BOOKS
The entire Play 'n Talk program has 217 audio recorded lessons. This means you do not have to teach phonics! Everything is done for you and laid out into simple daily tasks. All you have to do is facilitate the reinforcement activities and games.

SERIES 1: Covers  digraphs with short vowel families. Long vowel rules in rhyme, a review of digraphs with long vowels, blends and more blends. Sentences using blends will help perfect your child's diction, and it trains them to listen for sounds.  (excellent to correct certain speech problems.) The Series 2 book is 66 pages, and has over 500 words. 

SERIES 2: Covers digraphs with short vowel families. Long vowel rules in rhyme, a review of digraphs with long vowels, blends and more blends. Sentences using blends will help perfect your child's diction, and it trains them to listen for sounds. (excellent to correct certain speech problems.) The Series 2 book is 66 pages, and has over 500 words. 

SERIES 3: This is when the advanced course begins in Play 'n Talk. The advanced course is 60% of our program. Series 3 Covers phonograms, diphthongs, and digraphs with an emphasis on homonyms. It also departmentalizes the seven sounds of "err" along with varying combinations of letters that make  identical sounds. Series 3 book is 48 pages in length.

SERIES 4: Covers consonant C and G soft sounds,  phonograms, silent letters,  suffixes and prefixes. Series 4 contains logically-sequenced skill building. Additional rules in rhyme are given which will unleash the rich vocabulary  in written form rather than dilute it to conform to limited spelling ability. Upon completion your child will be capable of sounding out college-level text! The Series 4 book is 66 pages. 

AMPLIFIED INSTRUCTOR'S MANUAL
The Amplified Instructor's Manual will save you time, each lesson is laid out in simple daily tasks. Forget late night lesson planning and prepping. Everything is done for you. Each lesson also has multi-sensory reinforcement activities for pre-school to Kindergarten. The reinforcement games begin once the pre-school and Kindergarten levels are completed. The Instructor's manual also covers a complete spelling course with word lists. When you follow our program as directed, Play 'n Talk is failure proof! Many of our customers assign an older child to "teach" a younger child, giving both children the benefit of learning phonics in a one-room school house style learning experience.
FLASH CARD PATTERN BOOK
This is the ideal manipulative to help your child to build words. There are 790 flash card patterns to use with the games that are recommended in the Amplified Instructor's Manual. Your child will be able to easily separate upper from lower case letters, and consonants from vowels.  Also covered are phonograms, irregular words, prefixes, suffixes, definitions and examples. This resource will take your child from Kindergarten all the way through college level vocabulary words as you progress through Play 'n Talk.
RIDDLES 'N RHYME
Your child will enjoy listening to and following along with 95 fun riddles. Each book with accompanied audio is approximately 20 minutes in length. Fun fact, these riddles were originally written for the Play 'n Talk ABC TV series.
SPELL LINGO
Spell Lingo is a fun and engaging Bingo-like games! That your child will use as they advance past the basic level of Play 'n Talk. There are 24 different games that your child will progress through as they move through the different levels of Play 'n Talk. Seven of the games are dedicated to Homonym games. The best part is these simple games help your child apply the skills they have learned but they will also alert you to potential errors that need to corrected before they become a habit. 
SLIDE 'N SOUND
Slide 'n Sound is a hands on skill builder that will empower your child to create words! This skill builder also is a special help to children who struggle with word-reversal or letter-reversal problems. This also starts at a basic level and as your child progresses through Play 'n Talk will move to more advanced word building. With Slide 'n Sound your child will build 1,800 one syllable words, while integrating speaking, hearing, and thinking. Which helps to reinforce what they have learned while enhancing their composition skills. 
RING 'N KEY
This is the only typing tool which uses rings and matching stickers to teach your child how to type correctly. Ring 'n Key is also a skill builder because your child will learn to sequence letters into syllables, into words, and then into sentences. Your child's motor memory is activated further reinforcing what they have learned. The goal is the complete mastery of syllables which has been shown to have far reaching benefits for correctly decoding multi-syllable words in Scholastic Aptitude Testing.

OUR FOUNDER MARIE LEDOUX, PhD
The beautiful creator and owner of Play 'n Talk was Dr. Marie LeDoux, was an amazing woman who's heart was to see every child reach their full potential! 

Dr. LeDoux passed away in December of 2001 at the age of 85. Her legacy of love and sharing will live on through the thousands and thousands of families who have been affected in a positive way by Play 'n Talk. The company officially closed in 2007 and remained in a holding pattern until March of 2020 when Aimee Eucce officially took over the business and re-launched it for the next generation of readers!  
WHO IS AIMEE EUCCE?
You might be wondering who is Aimee and what's her connection? I was one of Marie LeDoux's customers, I struggled with Dyslexia and my Homeschooling Mom found Play 'n Talk. I was told I would never read past a sixth grade level. I hated reading but thanks to Play 'n Talk I was reading and spelling at a college level by 6th grade. 

I did not want to see Dr. LeDoux's legacy die so I have officially taken over the company and re-launched Play 'n Talk for the next generation of readers! You will see me teaching my son to read in our Facebook Group Here

OUR FOUNDER MARIE LEDOUX, PhD

Dr. Marie LeDoux discovered the prestigious Isabelle Buckley School in Beverly Hills, California. The school, was founded in 1933, they had taken the best aspects from every phonics program in the world, and developed their own method of teaching reading through phonics. The program was designed to teach children in a unique, systematic, and logical sequence. This enabled the students to learn and apply the concepts of phonics as opposed to memorizing certain word patterns which then inhibited the student from moving on to more complicated words and concepts.

Over the next ten years Dr. LeDoux recorded the lessons and perfected the program. The illustrations were done by a Walt Disney artist; the recordings feature the lovely distinctive voice of the teacher who taught Mark to read. Several reinforcement activities were later added, which completed the program. Thus Play ‘N Talk was born. Directed by God, the program is simplistic and playful.  She believed that reading is an adventure; it should never be stressful or frustrating.

I have always had a heart for Play 'n Talk because I know what it did for me and I saw the success stories from thousands of families first hand! I did not want to see  Dr. LeDoux's legacy die so I worked out an arrangement with the LeDoux family and I have officially taken over the company and re-launched Play 'n Talk for the next generation of readers!
